commission a painting

My painting practice is primarily conceptual. I enjoy creating unique artworks for clients wanting to transform an experience they’ve had into a painting that will forever hold meaning to them.

Please fill out the commission request form below and I will get back to you once I have received your request. You may also contact me by email at melissamourez@hotmail.com if you have any questions about the process of commissioning a work.

STEP 1: SUBMIT A REQUEST

Fill out the attached form to provide information about dimensions, medium [acrylic/oil/watercolour], and support material [paper/canvas] you would like your custom painting to have. I also encourage you to share a memory you would like the essence of the painting to capture.

Step 2: receive contract and invoice for deposit

Deposit: 50% of total.

Once the contract is signed and the deposit payment is completed, I will add you to my calendar.  Design takes 1-3 months. If time is a constraint, please contact me at melissamourez@hotmail.com for an estimated start date.

Step 3: creation.

I will work on the piece and send you photos of your custom painting upon completion.

  • I will email you an invoice that can be paid online via Paypal or e-transfer!

  • 50% deposit will be due upon agreement.

    50% payment will be due upon completion of the final design [before shipping]. 

  • Shipping will be billed by online invoice.

    If you are local to Toronto, you are welcome to pick-up the painting (masks required during Covid-19 pandemic).

  • All sales are final. If you wish to cancel your commission, the deposit will not be refunded.
