With this series of paintings, I created imaginary landscapes by using colors that reference six different locations in the village of Agios Ioannis, Crete. Each painting is an emotional response to places I often admired or analyzed during my stay in the village.

Nonexistent Horizon portrays the view from the balcony connected to the Cretan home in which I stayed during my residency. Looking into the distance was breathtaking - the sea blended in perfectly with the blues of the sky. We were told that the horizon line was nonexistent when the winds blew south, which only reinforced the dreamlike qualities of the landscape. This painting is for all the dreamers who want to bring a source of inspiration to their space.
